This week I inaugurated a new place to call home. Its smaller than were I was but these days size is not a major factor me and fiance, instead location, location, locaction. I’m the heart of Miami, a city called Coral Gables, a small city within a city, and home to the University of Miami Hurricanes, Billy Joel’s famous Miracle Mile, and many other sites.
Changes
The architecture is rich and old spanish is the main theme, in short, stunning and gorgeous. Just outside the Gables, the famous political pit stop for all politicians, local and presidential. Yes Newt, Romney, Santorum, and Obama have all passed by and drank “cafecito” there in an attempt to engratiate themselves with the local electorate – the famous Versailles Restaurant. Little Havana is a short 3 min drive away to the east and Downtown Miami a little further east as well. To say that I’m excited at the photographic opportunities in this new area is an understatement.
Photographically Speaking
This week I finally got a chance to persuse some old Pinboard bookmarks and I got a chance to watch Chris Week’s incredible documentary titled Documenting the Human Condition. If you have not seen these series, set aside 30min and watch it, its a total of 3 videos and you’ll gain some new insights. I know I learned a thing or two.

These blacks of yours are so incredible amazing, Jorge. Images to get lost in. And that’s what’s photography is all about. Gets one to thinking, reflecting, enjoying. A great viewing expirience this week, my friend!
All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
Thanks Fritsch I appreciate your thoughtful insights. To be honest, I’m in a transition once again and wondering where I’m headed. Cheers.
Hi Jorge, i hope your life will be improving more now, that your talent rose more and give us the choice of knowing more of your inside world. A lot of Cuban will be around you there, past and present, yes a lot of presidents go there looking for the Latin vote.
Thanks Rey, indeed, “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” ─ Forest Gump. Life is full of surprises and I’m just hoping to take my camera along for the journey. Versailles, amazing croquetas ahi !!
Your words always reflect wisdom and a powerful inside meaning.
You’re too kind Rey, thanks again.
Congratulations for all new endeavours !!
Thanks Nathalie, I’m hopeful things will develop nicely along the path, great light for the rest of 2012
