I thought I’d do something different for Week 36. Inspiration sometimes evades and others it just strikes. Blanca, is 91 years young and she makes an amazing “Cuban cafecito” or better known as an expresso in other parts of the world. These is her story.
All images by Jorge Ledesma with the Lumix LX5, shot RAW, and processed in Silver Efex Pro.
Thanks everyone I really appreciate your comments 🙂

Amazing sequence of photos. Brilliant, actually. Congratulations on really fine work.
The hands are wonderfully expressive, especially in the first image. It’s a very warm and human sequence.
Hands down. Instant fave.
What a set you brought here. Those hands and the beauty in an everyday’s task are wonderful.
Just love it. Really.
Jorge, muchas gracias por compartir la historia con nosotros.
great photos, all of them, and in a group even better… really worth a look. thanks for sharing.
Una maravilla de trabajo. Las luces y sombras, el detalle y el B&W son magníticos. Fav !!
You’ve really touched on something here Jorge. The B&W processing is great but I think there is something much more. The hands are captured wonderfully. Those life-worn hands speak volumes about life, love, living, toil and tenderness. They remind me of my grandmothers hands!
Love it. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
Love the intensity the B&W processing brings to the image. Great series too.
Wow….love it…great documentary photography! Perfect in BW
