Yesterday, I was feeling quite ill. You know the type of feeling where you body aches all over. Your nose feels like a water hose, yeah, those types of flu like symptoms which make you want to stay in bed all day. Nontheless, Isabel and I needed to go to the market to buy a few things we needed and what better way to spend my time at the market than snapping a few frames.

I told Isabel, “babe, you take the cart and I’ll photograph a little bit,” she obliged and I was on my way roaming around the market like a tourist. Usually on this trips I used to take a small compact like a Ricoh GR Digital 3 or a Panasonic Lumix LX5, both of which have great macro features but these days I’m only shooting with one camera ― a dslr, the Canon 40D and a few lenses (but that’s another post, I just got a fast zoom).

Had to laugh about the Grolsch beer. That is brewed some 80 km east from my place. Although I am not a beer drinker I prefer Grolsch over Heineken (although I much rather drink Flemish beer).
Oh my what a coincidence. Grolsch is one of my favorite beers but I must confess, I also like Heineken (overs Becks any day of the week and twice on Sundays) and quite a few others.
Give me a name of Flemish beer I’d like to try one. I go to a place down here called World of Beers and they’ll probably have one or two that are Flemish, well at least I hope. Thanks
I really like Westvleteren, Duvel, and Palm, but there are many excellent beers from Belgium monasteries.
Awesome, thanks so much for the suggestions. I’ll be sure to look them up. My little brother, not so little, he’s 30yrs old, loves Belgium beers.
