As I mentioned in a previous post my father recently underwent brain surgery. Imagine going in for a routine MRI because you’ve had some slight headaches and they tell you that you can’t go home because a few doctors must see you. Well, that was two weeks and a lot has happened. To say it that it was one of the most stressful situations I’ve ever encountered is an understatement. My father, always a stoic man, and all of a sudden a brain surgery is forthcoming, wow. I’m glad to report that his surgery went very well and he’s recovering in his home. Throughout these two weeks that I practically lived at the hospital and I took a chance to document the whole journey and I’ll be sharing that photoessay soon. I have to cull through 1500 images and select “X” to share this story.
The goal is of this essay is to bring awareness to head injuries that might seem trivial but could have massive repercussion in someone’s health. The essay is forthcoming and you’ll hear about it here first.

New Horizons, my father’s new journey
