Week 8 | 2012

I can’t remember where I heard or read the following phrase so I can properly give attribution but its so apropos of my photographic sentiments for this week.

Following Your Instincts

The word easy does not exists in the adult vocabulary.

When you think about it photography like life itself is not an easy craft. Often times the immediacy of digital photography is the main culprit. We shoot, we see, we judge, and most often all to fast. At the beginning of my foray into the world of m43 photography I was quite obsessed with the highest speed autofocus. These days, I just cherish way more taking my time with creating the images I want. Its a slower process but one I’m starting to feel more comfortable as the weeks come along regardless of the tool as I use.

    1. Thanks again lol, I appreciate your kind words. No, I don’t sell them, they’re just my vision, I’m far from famous, I’m just a regular tog documenting life.

    1. Thanks, I appreciate your thoughtful commentary. Yes, Wouter has most definitely been a source of inspirations on various fronts.

  1. there are images that took my breath away, the 8 number, the water sink, the lamps and finally the man asking , praying, showing, is an arrange so good of your work, what a tremendous gathering of good and meaning photos.

    1. No, thank you for everything we’ve talk about in all our communications and everything I’ve learned through your visual imagery.

    1. Thanks Fernand. I just want to add that yes “I love it.” But sometimes the grip is what gives, oh well, you can’t have it all. To compare the Ricoh GRD3 feels better but lacks the range of focal lengths. I would say if the GRD makes a camera with a similar focal range to modern standard, then and only then, would I think of replacing my LX3. Saludos.
