Fuji X-Pro 2 Full Frame Thoughts

So the rumor mill is out and a possible Fuji X-Pro 2 is on the horizon for early or mid 2015. As Bob Dylan would say, “the times are changing.” The Nikon D600 and Canon 6D came to fruition as affordable full frame cameras, well, not really affordable as $2,000 USD is not cheap by any means but within range of many more I suppose. Then we had the folks at Sony pumping out all sorts of full frame goodness in various shapes and forms and then there is Fujifilm X-Series with brave new sensor technology stirring the full frame pot (5DMK2, D700) and reaching in. The “reaching in” is arguable and I’m sure Dr. Boyer would say I’m way out of touch with sensor reality, but nonetheless, there seems to be a group of photographers that prefers the X-Trans sensor. all captured with various Fujifilm X-series cameras

The Rig: Jorge Ledesma

I currently shoot with Fujifilm X-Series cameras: the X100S and the X-Pro 1 as I believe they offer the right mix between image quality, portability, and the “ninja factor”. Prior to this I shot with the X-E1 and X100 LE as well but I always had a soft spot for the X-Pro 1. After I acquired the X-Pro 1 I wanted parity between my files so I ended upgrading to the X100S

TCL-X100, Some thoughts and more

Photography is all about our vision, its a way of seeing, a way of interpreting, a way to engage with our surroundings. Some of us feel great with 28mm, others with 35mm or 50mm, and yet others with 85mm. These are the four focal lengths that pretty much define the way I see the world in some way, shape, or form.   Personally, I’ve shot all four but I always ended up coming back to the 35mm but with that said I’m now warmed up to the 50mm. Is it a sin to be a multi focal length lover? No, I love the 35mm field of view and I love the 50mm as well, so much so, I ended up getting the X100S and the XF 35mm 1.4R but now I’m rethinking my kit.

The Rig: Othman Kammah

Who are you and what is your profession? My name is Othman Kammah but everyone that knows me calls me OT. I am a Business Analyst by trade and a Photographer by passion. I spent most of my life in various parts of the Mediterranean. Morocco, Spain, and France to name a few. Toronto, Canada is where I currently live with my wife, our pup, and our kitten. After having grown up shooting film with my father and eventually stopping for no particular reason, I got back into photography over the last few years. My other passion is music and I have been playing guitar for as long as I can remember. Both photography and music have had a heavy influence on shaping the person that I like to think I am; composed, and laid back 🙂 I like to think that these attributes shine through in my work, and especially in my Visual Essays.

X100s made for walking

Who’s not over a few pounds from their ideal weight at 40. I mean I use to play collegiate tennis back in circa ’95 but that was many moons ago. These days, I just walk around and make pictures with the best companion one can have on the streets – the Fuji X100s, a camera that was made for walking. Here are a few from a recent walk at Coral Gables including MIracle Mile.

The Rig: Brian Dunlea

My name is Brian Dunlea. I’m a portrait and landscape photographer, but I dabble in street photography as well. I’m not a professional and I’m very new to photography. I started in January 2012 with a view to starting a songwriting site. I’ve been a drummer/singer/guitarist since I was 15.
