WordPress Woes

The whole world seems to be on WordPress. Heck, I’m on WordPress and I’ve been on for as far as I can remember but I’ve always had a little something that’s always irked me and that is the way my images look on my site.

I process and they look great on my monitor, prepare the post, hit publish and voila my images are live and now they don’t look the same. What’s going on here. This has irked me so much that I decided to port Origami over to Squarespace  (this was about 2 months ago) and avoid those pitfalls.

Fuji XE2 XF27mm

Fuji XF 27mm a great little guy

So I finally completed my Fujifilm kit. A few days ago, I scooped up an XF 27mm 2.8 (silver) to pair of with the XE2 and I couldn’t be more delighted. Initially, I had wondered if it would give me the same experience as I had with my previous X100/s and I most say, it does. The XF 27mm transform your Fuji XE2/1/XT1/XPRO1 into an X100/s like experience. Here’s a recent image from a photowalk.

Yves Choquette & the Origami Collective →

I couldn’t be happier to have one of the best documentary photographers in the world join the Origami Collective. I’d like to introduce you to Yves Choquette, a Canadian documentary photography (also an Official Fujifilm X Photographer) that truly excels at he does ― reportage.

When it comes documentary photography as genre its hard not to talk about reportage photography on the war front or areas of conflict. In these scenarios, a stray or not so stray bullet can take your life in a micro second but Yves Choquette’s body of work in the Ukraine is a true testament to what a determined photographer can accomplish even in the most hostile of climates.

Welcome aboard Yves and a very warm welcome from everyone at the collective!

Getting reacquainted with the Fuji X-E2 has been a real pleasure. After having tried a few X-series cameras I must say this has been my favorite so far. With the right accessories it transforms into a jack of all trades. You want an X100/s experience, then throw the XF 27mm on. Want a bit more reach, then the rest of the lens line-up is ready for any tasks.
